Milwaukee Wave Begins New Era…

In an announcement made at the U.S. Cellular Arena on April 3, 2013, Jim Lindenberg sold the Milwaukee Wave Professional Indoor Soccer Team and its 501 (c) 3 charitable arm, Wave of Hope, to President and Chief Executive Officer, Sue Black. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Lindenbergs Continue Support of Boys & Girls Club

The Lindenbergs and the Milwaukee Wave continue their partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee at Camp Whitcomb. Camp Whitcomb will now feature the Milwaukee Wave Soccer Fields, Milwaukee Wave of Hope Challenge Courses and Lindenberg Trail. The Wave has hosted their Overnight Summer Camps at Camp Whitcomb for years

Lindenberg named MISL Vice Chairman

Milwaukee Wave owner Jim Lindenberg was named vice chairman of the Major Indoor Soccer League’s management committee at the league meetings on Chicago in April.

As vice chairman, Lindenberg joins chairman Ed Hale of the Baltimore Blast and MISL Commissioner David Grimaldi to set the league’s strategic agenda. Expansion of the league is their primary focus, Lindenberg said.

Jim Lindenberg is the recipient of its annual Don Richards Leadership Award. The Waukesha County Chamber of Commerce recognizes Lindenberg’s outstanding leadership, vision, and accomplishments through this award. The Don Richards Award celebrates the life of the late Don Richards. As publisher of The Business Journal and Chairman of the Board of the Waukesha Area Chamber of Commerce, the late Don Richards’ hands-on leadership, his ethics and his delight in achieving tangible results left a lasting impression on the Waukesha County business community. The Don Richards Leadership Award was created in his honor in 1993 to inspire and motivate business people to take community leadership roles. Lindenberg is the 17th recipient of this prestigious award.
